10 global gems sure to excite and inspire attendees

Global economies require international meetings and events to problem-solve and plan for a future world that seemingly gets smaller by the day.

Boundaries are now corporate challenges, not restrictive borders that keep attendees inside or outside a country’s reign. And collective reasoning isn’t something that is locked away for posterity by one selfish nationality. Ideas are shared via conventions, small meetings and executive retreats for the betterment of anything and everything, from health care to transportation to technology.

The Internet has certainly helped open eyes and possibilities for international meetings and events, with connectivity that makes it easy to identify and review convention centers and meeting hotels. It also hasn’t hurt that world-renowned leisure destinations have dispatched sales teams to the United States and throughout the world to educate associations and multinational organizations about the benefits and experiences awaiting in marquee cities from Paris to Seoul.

One of the key influencers on cracking perceived international barriers comes compliments of IMEX, the very popular meetings and events trade show held annually in Frankfurt and Las Vegas. In particular, IMEX America has served as a conduit for U.S. meeting professionals and media to gain vital international meeting insights, and build bridges and camaraderie within the world marketplace.

So forget about stigmas and boundaries once associated with international meetings. With Smart Meetings as your travel agent, it’s never been easier to discover new event destinations abroad and secure boarding passes for your next world-class meetings beyond U.S. borders.
