Hilton Quebec appoints Lincourt general manager. He was most recently hotel manager of Fairmont Copley Plaza, Boston. Lincourt began his 25-year career at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta, Canada, and continued on to Fairmont Tremblant and Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal, Fairmont Pittsburgh and Claremont Club & Spa, a Fairmont Hotel in Berkeley, California.
Heather Johnson
Mexico’s Velas Resorts appoints Johnson regional sales manager of its East Coast division. She is based in Connecticut. Most recently, she served as sales manager for Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort in Anguilla. Johnson has also worked in the sales departments for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in the Caribbean and Latin America, as well as Morgans Hotel Group in New York City.
Becky Melchi
Benchmark Resorts & Hotels names Melchi director of sales for Wingspread Retreat & Executive Conference Center, an iconic Frank Lloyd Wright property in Racine, Wisconsin. She was promoted from within the company. Melchi was previously senior sales manager at The Abbey Resort & Avani Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, specializing in national corporate and association markets. She also served as remote senior sales manager for Eaglewood Resort & Spa in Chicago and Benchmark’s national sales team. Prior to joining the company, Melchi held senior-level sales positions at Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center and Four Points by Sheraton Chicago O’Hare Airport. She’s a longtime active member of MPI.
Jason Coppola
Coppola has been named assistant general manager of Residence Inn Stamford Downtown in Connecticut. Since 2016, he’s been front office manager of sister property Courtyard by Marriott Stamford Downtown. Coppola previously worked at Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa and at hotels in White Plains and Rye, both in New York.
Gilda Perez-Alvarado
JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group in Chicago announces Perez-Alvarado as chief executive officer of its Americas Hotels & Hospitality Group. She’s been with the brand for 14 years in Madrid, London, Miami and New York and was most recently managing director.
Peter Ambros
Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC) announces the appointment of Ambros as general manager of Four Points by Sheraton in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was previously general manager of HMC’s Holiday Inn Airport and Conference Center in Memphis, Wyndham Garden Lafayette in Louisiana and Astor Crowne Plaza-New Orleans French Quarter. Ambros has also worked at Radisson, Omni, Hyatt and DoubleTree by Hilton properties in Baltimore, Chicago and New Orleans.
Kimari Pada
Aqua-Aston Hospitality promotes Pada to hotel manager of Aqua Bamboo Waikiki in Hawaii. In her more than six years at the property, she’s worked as guest services manager, on-call night auditor and interim hotel manager.
