Marin BrightFor the second consecutive year, Marin Bright, CEO and founder of Smart Meetings, has been named one of Folio’s Top Women in Media, in the Corporate Visionaries category. The awards honor “the most influential women in media—the ones driving the agenda for the industry and in their companies—women who are innovating in new ways and guiding their businesses into new markets,” as noted in Folio’s announcement.

“I’m deeply honored to be recognized by our peers at major publishing houses and B2B publications,” says Bright, who also serves as publisher of Smart Meetings, the leading meetings industry trade publication. “To receive this award two years in a row is even more meaningful.”

Others honored as Corporate Visionaries include women from The Atlantic, Marie Claire, Salon, Bloomberg and Harvard Business Review.

This is Folio’s second annual Top Women in Media List. Awards went to women in six categories—corporate visionaries, industry leaders, director-level doers, entrepreneurs, rising stars and mentors. Other honorees can be viewed here. Folio will hold a luncheon on June 8 in New York City to celebrate the honorees.
