Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel appointed Martin Wormull as general manager of the property, opening early 2016. Wormull brings more than 30 years of experience to the 296-room resort. Previously, he was senior director of luxury brand performance management for Hilton Worldwide and general manager of Conrad Miami.
Linda Chin was named director of operations at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. In her new role, she will oversee more than 900 guest rooms and 500 staff members who serve 70 Park Avenue, Eventi, Ink48 and The Muse hotels, all located in New York City. Chin has more than 18 years of experience specializing in upscale and luxury properties.
Bonaventure Resort & Spa in Weston, Florida, welcomes Royston Brady as general manager of the 500-room property.Most recently, he was general manager for Empyrean Club at Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Brady is a former member of Dublin City Council and served as Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ireland.
Scott Slocum joined Walnut Creek Convention and Visitors Bureau in California as regional director of sales and marketing. Slocum is a Northern California native and has worked in group sales at Orchard Hotel locations in San Francisco and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berkeley Marina in California.
Patrick Hatton was appointed general manager of Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, where he oversees operations. Previously, he was regional vice president of operations at The Royal Palm in Miami Beach. He has also served The James Chicago, Wyndham Worldwide and Hotel Nikko Chicago.
Neil Mullanaphy was named director of meetings and conventions for American Traffic Safety Services Association. Mullanaphy will be responsible for the Annual Convention & Traffic Expo, the largest trade show of its kind in the Northeast. He has 30 years of experience in the trade show and meetings industry.
